DAMIEN KENNEALLY
 Damien is SMEC's
Chief Technical Principal Hydropower and a Director of both SMEC Developments
and its parent company, SMEC Holdings Limited. He is responsible for business
opportunities in project studies, engineering design and tender documentation,
construction supervision, project management and provision of multi-disciplinary
services to public and private developers of infrastructure projects. He holds a
Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree (H2A) and a Master's degree in Engineering
Science in Hydraulics and Geomechanics, both from the University of Melbourne.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.
Damien has over 30 years experience in all phases and management of large
civil engineering projects. This has included major emphasis on planning, design
and documentation and construction supervision of major hydropower and water
resource projects and associated infrastructure.
Damien has particular expertise in:
- planning and design of civil infrastructure projects
- supervision of dam and power plant construction
- evaluation of commercial energy proposals
- drafting and negotiation of power purchase agreements
- public private partnerships for energy development
