MIKE BUTLER

As Manager Highways and Transportation, Mike has spent most of the past three years with SMEC on the Eastlink project managing a large team of professionals engaged in proof engineering and construction verification. Mike had 33 years’ experience with VicRoads, particularly in project management and the delivery of major road and bridge contracts on the Western Ring Road, Metropolitan Ring Road and the Craigieburn Bypass. He was involved in many facets of the preconstruction planning for these projects including planning scheme amendments, preparation of contract documents, land acquisition and environmental studies. Prior to project work, Mike spent eight years in road design, bridge design and traffic engineering.
