PULA HERATH
 Pula Herath is General Manager of SMEC’s Water and Environment Group based in
Sydney. He has over 20 years’ experience in civil engineering, specialising in
master planning, feasibility assessment, detailed design and construction
supervision in water, wastewater, irrigation and drainage projects. He has also
been engaged in urban planning studies, environment impact assessment studies
and large multi-disciplinary infrastructure development projects.
Pula joined SMEC in 2005 and has been actively involved in international
water, environment and urban infrastructure planning projects. Before joining
SMEC, he spent 15 years at technical management level in a leading British
consultancy firm. During his engineering career, he has worked on projects in
Australia, North Asia, South East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle
East. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia and the
Institution of Civil Engineers, United Kingdom.
