At the Awards Dinner the 2006 SMEC Medal was presented to Damien Kenneally who is Chief Technical Principal Hydropower based in Cooma.

During more than thirty years Damien has made a valuable contribution to SMEC in technical excellence in the design and construction of projects in the dam and hydropower sectors as well as client relations and business development. He has been responsible for the management of major international projects.

The SMEC Medal was introduced in 2003 to recognise an outstanding contribution by staff to any aspect of the company’s operations.
