Control Plant
SMEC
possesses a highly developed capability and
extensive experience in the specialist area of
water control plant. Such plant is used for
control and isolation of large scale water
passages associated within hydro power developments irrigation
structures, dams and weirs.
The plant types include:
- spillway radial gates, flap gates and
vertical lift gates
- power intake fixed wheel guard gates,
coaster guard gates, maintenance bulkhead
gates, trashracks and trash raking
machines
- draft tube maintenance bulkhead gates
- irrigation vertical lift slide gates and
stoplogs
- high head bonneted slide gates, ring

Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, which
